Neuro-Linguistic Programming
Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: How does NLP work in practice?

A: NLP uses guided dialogue, visualisation and language-based techniques to help you shift how you think and feel about situations. By recognising subconscious “programs,” you can reframe old beliefs and choose new, empowering patterns. This approach supports transformation at both a mental and emotional level.

Q2: What can NLP help with?

A: NLP can support you in:

  • Overcoming limiting beliefs

  • Managing stress and anxiety

  • Increasing confidence and motivation

  • Improving focus and communication

  • Releasing fears or emotional blocks
It can be applied in personal development, relationships, or professional growth.

Q3: Is NLP scientifically supported?

A: Research on NLP shows mixed results. Some studies highlight improvements in communication and emotional awareness, while others call for more rigorous evidence.
A recent review found that NLP-based interventions can positively influence stress and well-being when combined with mindful awareness and coaching.
Catalin Zaharia, Melita Reiner & Peter Schütz (2015). “Evidence-based Neuro Linguistic Psychotherapy: a meta-analysis”.
At Mind Garden Studio, NLP is used as a complementary personal-development tool, not a medical treatment.

Q4: How many NLP sessions do I need?

A: Many people notice changes within 1–3 sessions.
For deeper mindset transformation a short series of 4–6 sessions is often recommended to integrate new patterns.
The pace always depends on your goals and how your mind responds to new strategies.

Q5: Is NLP safe for everyone?

A: Yes. NLP is conversational and does not involve hypnosis or manipulation.
It’s safe for most people and adaptable to your comfort level.
Sessions are gentle, respectful, and always focused on your personal intentions.

Q6: How is NLP different from psychotherapy or coaching?

A: NLP is not psychotherapy but shares some communication techniques with coaching. It focuses on the “how” of change rather than the “why.” Instead of analysing the past, NLP helps you build practical tools for present-moment transformation. It can complement therapy, Reiki or hypnotherapy for a holistic approach to well-being.

Q7: What should I prepare before my first NLP session?

A: There’s nothing specific to prepare,  simply bring an open mind and a goal you’d like to explore.
We’ll begin with a conversation to understand your desired change, then use NLP tools tailored to your needs.
